Payback

The day sure was payback, for a machine which gives you command over that many horses between thy legs. You sit the saddle and gun it - but this day, you stand by the side making sure that every nook and corner is addressed, every nut and bolt checked, and all consistencies addressed.

Clockwise: Battery+Bearings, Corrosion, Worn out rear
As it happens; thanks to a motorcycle enthusiast friend, who got the rear tyre arranged from Ahemdabad as I had dipped into nostalgia about good old days, when even Maruti 800 was sold in black. The tyre arrived day before and we landed at workshop yesterday itself, for our routine pilgrimage. And trust me when I say this - this Harley temple is a rip off !

The rear tyre replaced with new and we find, the rear end bearings as finished - same were replaced. Battery was found to be low charge - so it was addressed. Next to the battery compartment, the main frame had started corroding - taken care of now. A plug in rear end brake light wiring developed snag - ordered. The broken key saga (BHKAAI) - alternate key ordered. Front shocks - oil level maintained. Both wheels balanced and rear alignment done. Oils changed and service done.

In all I'd say a fruitful day for the bike and a due payback. One can attribute the long list of job card to lack of action for the machine - seemingly, that would change with return of Mr. Punia on his Triumph.

Happy Riding all !
