Breakfast @ Karnal |
The initial plan had 8 riders on board, spanned over 4 days
and covering areas till Bharatpur and back. Days into its
inception, many a changes happened and the ride trickled down to the
THOSE 3 riders,
with one night stay. It was planned to leave early from Chandigarh on
Saturday, hit Agra, return to Gurgaon the same day; followed by next day’s
ride to Chandigarh.

Front to Back: Navdeep's, Melvin's & Mine |
Mr. Punia was a bit skeptical, Mr. Sharma was all guns
firing, whilst I had some issues of my own - which - thankfully got cleared at the 11
th
hour. So it was an “about cancelled” trip which eventually happened - PRAISE
THE LORD - and safely happened, just as planned.
Pertinent to mention the fact that, the rides of
THOSE 3 have
had an alteration lately. Navdeep has upgraded to a
Fatboy 103; and fitted with his beloved
Vance & Hines short shots, he showed riding skills which were not seen thus
far. There was an upshift in the ride energy. Way to go Navdeep!

@ Gurbir's |
The oldest of the tried and tested
THOSE 3 – Mr. Punia – therefore had a total
of 3200cc escort. His 1800cc escorted by 1600 in front and 1600 in back – I leave
you to imagine the mayhem. Sans the depressing jams in Delhi and Noida enroute,
things went well. At one point there was a scare of Malvinder’s bike
differential leakage, but riding got the better of us and we went on doing what
we had come to do. Fill up in Greater Noida and run to Agra. Fill up in Agra
and run back to Greater Noida. That’s what we did, and that’s what we had come
for.
Courtesy Gurbir's hospitality - shower, drinks, chow and blackout – the day ended. Today started easy and came back easy.
The last conversation on Scala - "How much on the ODO?" came the reply, "970 ONLY".
